Zimbabwe
Peter Moor is the captain so this is one player you know will be on the starting line up. He has also had a couple of good scores in the middle overs so he automatically becomes my wicket-keeper choice. Also pick Solomon Mire as your captain, since he looked good in the last game with his innings of 40. If he tees off, a century is certainly on the cards.
Sikandar Raza is easily the most talented cricketer on the Zimbabwe team sheet but he hasn’t been getting too many chances down the order while top order wickets coming early means he hasn’t had the chance to get many with the ball either. Pick him in your team but as a normal player. Also, I’d like to see Chris Mpofu get a game. If he doesn’t, pick both of Donald Tiripano and Kyle Jarvis, who have 6 and 8 wickets respectively this series.
UAE
Not many players from the UAE camp have done well, but there have been a few sparks of good cricket. Shaiman Anwar happens to be the most experienced player in the squad and his fifty in the 2nd ODI means he makes my team today. Captain Mohammad Naveed is another player I will be picking for this contest.
Former captain Rohan Mustafa has had three continuous failures in this series after making a comeback to the national side. He has scored 10, 0 and 9 in 3 ODIs so far, but he is a super talent and has also picked 4 wickets so far. I’ll pick him and you could even consider making him your vice-captain. Ghulam Shabber is one more player who has been impressive this series so far.
