There’s just one game left in the ICC 2019 World Cup and that’s the mega final, so you better start getting used to fantasy cricket contests like these. Here, Ireland is hosting Zimbabwe in the 2nd T20 after the 1st T20 was lost to rain. Prior to that, Ireland whitewashed the visitors in the ODI series and Zimbabwe’s losing streak continues after managing only one win in 4 games on their recent tour to Netherlands as well.
They just can’t seem to put together. Zimbabwe have had brilliant individual contributors but Ireland has played as a unit. In the 3 ODIs, they won two chasing and one after putting up a score batting first. Keep reading for our complete Fantain (Use Code “READ123”) fantasy preview of this IRE vs ZIM 2nd T20…

Stats
- In 7 previous T20Is here, Ireland have won NONE.

- Craig Ervine – 156 runs in the 3-game ODI series.
- Sean Williams – 153 runs in the 3-game ODI series
Ireland
One person who has matured over a player due to hard work and a lot of exposure in the last couple of years is Paul Stirling. He has proven himself in leagues across the world against top class bowling attacks and the Zimbabwe bowlers aren’t the biggest threats he’s faced in recent times. The recent ODI series against Zimbabwe saw him scoring 141 runs as well as picking up a wicket in just the 3 overs he bowled. Stirling must be your captain or vice-captain for this game.
You can pick 3 of Ireland’s top 4 as they’re all in top form. Andy Balbirnie has been scoring centuries for fun in recent times and I’ll pick him even though he was their third highest scorer in the recent ODI series with 115 runs in 3 games. James McCollum has 148 runs in the same series. Shane Getkate and Mark Adair both have 6 wickets each but I’ll pick the latter as he had 8 wickets in 4 games for Northern Knights recently in South Africa.
Zimbabwe
It’s surprising that the top two run scorers of the ODI series were Zimbabweans but they still managed to lose the series 3-0. This includes Craig Ervine (156 runs) and Sean Williams (153 runs) and the latter is always one of my first picks while playing fantasy cricket for Zimbabwe games. All-rounders are vital in T20 cricket and Williams also had 3 wickets to go with his big tally of runs in that series. He can be your captain or vice-captain for sure.

Another must-have in your Fantain (Use Code “READ123”) fantasy team is Sikandar Raza. A friend of Read Scoops, Raza is among the top 5 all-rounders in the world and even though he only had 45 runs and 2 wickets in the 3 ODIs, I’ll be picking him as this is his preferred format, having played plenty T20 leagues around the world. With the ball, Kyle Jarvis is the most experienced, especially after recent County stints in England; he only managed 3 scalps in 3 games, but I’ll back him to do better.
