The 2019 ACC Women’s Emerging Cup begins in Sri Lanka and will be contested by the women’s emerging teams of 4 Asian countries between 22-27 October 2019. The top two on the points table will progress to the final of the tournament and the first day begins with 2 matches including the first one between India and Bangladesh Women.
Match 2 begins at the same time but this one is between Pakistan Women and hosts Sri Lanka Women, with the former beginning as slight favourites even though SL Women have the home advantage. We play at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Keep reading for our complete MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy preview of the PKW-E vs SLW-E game…

Numbers
- Rameen Shamim – only 6 wickets in last 10 professional games.
- Javeria Rauf in last 6 professional games – 9, 13, 0, 9, 0, 16.
- Nashra Sandhu – only 1 wicket in last 5 international games.
Pakistan Emerging Team
23-year old bowler Rameen Shamim will captain the side and she hasn’t been among the wickets in recent times, but I’ll still pick her because we know she will be a part of the playing eleven. She has only 1 wicket in her last 4 games though. Another very experienced player with national team experience too is batter Javeria Rauf who hasn’t been among the runs so far this year, but had a good year in 2018.
With the ball, Fatima Sana recently played three T20Is for Pakistan Women against SA Women and while she went wicketless in two games, the second game saw her getting 3/27 and I’ll have her in my fantasy side for sure, even though she’s just 17 years old. Another bowler is Nashra Sandhu who has played 50 internationals for Pakistan Women. While she hasn’t done well in her last 5 games, she picked 10 wickets in the 5 internationals prior to that.
Sri Lanka Women Emerging Team
Sri Lanka has named a 15-woman squad but they’re yet to announce a captain. We have reason to believe it could be Hasini Perera or Harshitha Madavi leading the home side. Madavi has scores of 24, 39, 22, 28 in her last 4 games and this consistency gets her a spot in my fantasy side. As for Perera, she has only 4 double digit scores in her last 10 games with a best of 27. However, 60+ internationals means a lot of experience.
All-rounders are good for fantasy teams and Malsha Shehani is a potential all-rounder for your MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team with 5 wickets and a top score of 31 in her last 10 games. Kavisha Dilhari is another good all-round option who has 5 wickets in 10 international games for Pakistan Women to go with 93 runs in those games.
