I know the thumbnail of this article shows a very jubilant Windies Women team, but that isn’t really the case so far for them in the ongoing ICC Women’s ODI Championship. If the ICC 2019 World Cup isn’t the only series you have been following, then you would know that England Women have been dominant against WI-W so far, winning the 1st ODI by 208 runs and the 2nd ODI by 121 runs (DL method).
Windies Women have not only been bad in this series but have had a pathetic year in cricket so far, so you can rule out a win here. As for England, they will want to complete the 3-0 whitewash before the 3 T20s can begin. Keep reading for our complete DuggOut (sign-up to get Rs.50 FREE) fantasy preview of the ENGW vs WIW 3rd ODI…

Stats
- England are 2nd in the ICC ODI Championship – 11 wins in 17 games.
- Windies are last in the ICC ODI Championship – 1 win in 17 games.
- Tammy Beaumont has 771 runs in 17 matches in the Championship.
- Afy Fletcher and Hayley Mathews – 5 wickets in 2 games each this series.
- Amy Ellen Jones and Heather Knight – 109, 108 runs respectively this series.
England Women
One thing we know is that England Women bat first, you want to pack your fantasy team with English batters. On the other hand if they bowl first, pack your team with their bowlers, as WI Women aren’t putting up good shows with the bat. Jones and Knight have been the star performers of this season but I’m definitely picking their most consistent performer that is Tammy Beaumont, who has 97 runs in 2 games this series.
Sarah Taylor can be more than just cute. She can bat brilliantly too. With 6 fifties in 14 games in the Championship, you can pick her even though she has only 27 runs in 2 games here. With the ball, Katherine Brunt is the highest wicket-taker for England in the Championship. Here in this series, she has 2 wickets and 45 runs under her belt, so she isn’t a bad option for captain or vice-captain.
Windies Women
The undoubted star for Windies Women at the moment is the young Hayley Mathews. While her team has been bad so far, she has managed to be the top wicket-taker and has also scored 34 runs. She recently scored a blistering 107* against Ireland Women and something like that would do wonders for the team. She could be made your vice-captain, but I’d prefer these bonus roles for the English players.
All-rounders are a must and captain Stafanie Taylor should be a part of your team as she recently had a brilliant season with the bat against Pakistan Women. Here, she has 2 wickets and not too many runs, but it won’t take her much to find that rhythm so you can surely include her in your DuggOut (sign-up to get Rs.50 FREE) fantasy team. Chedean Nation is also a good choice, with 51 runs in 2 ODIs so far.
