England Women
This was a magical ODI series for Amy Ellen Jones. She ended as the top scorer of the ODI series and by a fair margin too. Pick her for sure as this form has been going on since a while now including a century and 2 fifties for Warwickshire Women last month in the Royal London Women’s competition. Sarah Taylor is a popular pick and while she isn’t at her prime best, she looked good in an innings of 70 in the ODI series and is the clear easy wicket-keeper pick.
Alex Hartley and Bryony Smith are the two to be left out for the T20I series while the veterans Katherine Brunt and Natalie Sciver return to the side. Another person to be added to the squad is Linsey Smith but it seems unlikely she will make the team for the 1st T20. Brunt should be a part of your team as she carries a lot o experience and Katie Cross is another bowler you can pick, being England’s highest wicket-taker in the ODI series – 5 scalps in 3 games.
Windies Women
While it was a horrible and pathetic series for Windies Women, Hayley Matthews was a huge positive and we can expect her to be even better when she plays her favourite T20 format. She also makes a good vice-captain pick as she bagged 7 wickets and scored 40 runs in the ODI series. It wasn’t the best of series for Taylor as she got only 2 wickets and 7 runs in 3 games, but we know what she’s capable of and since there won’t be too many fantasy teams picking her, you should for sure as she has been declared fit for this game. Another positive that came from that series was Chedean Nation, who ended as their top corer with 66 runs and one particularly impressive knock of 42*. With the ball, pick Afy Fletcher for sure.
