Sorry we’re late to the party as this is our first fantasy preview for the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2019, and we begin with Match 19 between Chepauk Super Gillies and the VB Kanchi Veerans. It’s set to be one hell of an encounter as these two are among the top teams so far in TNPL, both currently in the top half of the points table.

Instead, pick G Periyaswamy who has 7 wickets in 4 games but has managed to pick at least 1 wicket in each game thus far in TNPL 2019.
Another good pick is Murugan Ashwin who has experience at the bigger leagues like IPL as well. Here, he has 5 wickets in 4 games but he has bowled brilliantly, bowling at an amazing economy rate rate of 4.37 only. With the bat, Hari Gopinath is the second highest scorer in the league and comes into this game with 2 consecutive fifties, so he’s a good choice. Ganga Sridhar Raju is my next batting pick, with 11 runs and a fifty so far.
Kanchi Veerans
My first choice pick from VB Kanchi Veerans is Rajagopal Sathish, who I always believed could’ve played for India if not for his stint in the ICL. So far in TNPL 2019, he’s their leading wicket-taker with 7 wickets in 4 games while also not being dismissed even once in his four innings this season so far.
K Gowtham Kannan isn’t the same Gowtham to play for Rajasthan Royals but he has been among the wickets, with 6 scalps so far in 4 games. One bowler I really liked this season was R Silambarasan and he has also picked 6 wickets so far in the league, with 5 of them coming in a single game. The first 2 games, he went wicketless but has been brilliant ever since.
