The next best scorer this season after Short is Scott Steel who has 275 runs in 8 games and a few wickets as well.
Matty Potts has been regularly among the wickets so he becomes an automatic pick in today’s fantasy team. However, there are two more bowlers who have 10 wickets in 9 games each and those are Liam Trevaskis and Australia’s Nathan Rimmington. Pick both if you have the space for both. However, if you have to pick just one, choose Trevaskis as he has a few scores with the bat as well.
Yorkshire
Yorkshire has been particularly poor because they haven’t been able to pick wicket. It’s so bad that not a single of their bowlers have managed to pick 8 or more wickets this season and that’s why you should lay off selecting any here. Keshav Maharaj disappointed on his debut here, but he picked 8 wickets including 9/95 in the 2nd innings of a recent FC match, which should give him some confidence for this game.
Dominic Bess has left Yorkshire after completion of his loan with the team, while Tom Kohler-Cadmore will continue to lead the side, so you can pick the latter in your Howzat (sign-up with code “READ1234”) fantasy team, having scored 233 runs in just 6 games this season. David Willey is another must-have as he’s a T20 specialist. Along with picking wickets, he’s a floater in the batting order too, much like the role Sunil Narine plays.
