Numbers

  • Head to head in last 5 games, T&T leads 4-1.
  • Imran Khan – 42 wickets in 10 games in WICB 4-day tournament.
  • Darren Bravo last 4 scores in CPL 2019 – 2, 1, 9, 6.
  • Akeal Hosein – 0 wickets in 3 games at CPL 2019.
  • Yannick Ottley – 17 wickets and 306 runs in 9 games last season.
  • Shermon Lewis – best of 7/76 in the recent 4-day tournament.

Trinidad and Tobago

With over 100 FC games in his career, the 35-year old Imran Khan will lead the side and I’m picking him solely because I know he will be playing. He had 6 wickets in 4 games in CPL 2019 and was the third highest wicket-taker in the 4-day season as well. Darren Bravo is in the side but I’ll drop him as he’s never been able to get runs, even though he has the talent. Instead, pick Kyle Hope who scored 64 and 47 in his last FC game.

With the ball, Akeal Hosein is one of the most exciting young bowlers and I’ll pick him even though he hasn’t been among the wickets in the last year or so. Batsman Jason Mohammed had a poor CPL 2019 with 4 single-digit scores in 5 games but he amassed 634 runs in 10 games in the 4-day tournament prior to that, so he’s a good pick with the bat. Your x-factor player for this game could be all-rounder Yannick Ottley who had a great season in 2018.

Windward Islands

With 3 international centuries to his name, opener Kirk Edwards is captaining the side and he will be a good addition to your PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234”) fantasy team, having hit 2 fifties and a top score of 139 in the 4-day season this year. This team is full of potential all-rounders and one of them you can pick could be Kavem Hodge who played 3 games in CPL 2019 and had a best of 6/68 in the 4-day tournament before that.

Talking about wickets, Shane Shillingford bagged two 6-fers and had a total of 17 wickets in 2 FC games earlier this season and he should be picked event though he wasn’t at his best last year in the Super50 Cup. 38-year old opener Devon Smith still has it in him as he scored consecutive FC centuries including 124 and 199 earlier this year. Alick Athanaze could be your x-factor all round player from this team.
