Between 6 November and 1 December 2019, we’re going to be in for some thrilling action as the Regional Super50 Cup 2019 has kicked off in the Caribbean. 10 teams battle it out in the tournament before the top 4 continue to the semi finals. Here, we have Guyana in action in Match 3 of the tournament and they play their first game against the West Indies Emerging Team at the Brian Lara Academy in Tarouba. Another game kicking off simultaneously is between Windward Islands and Trinidad.

With 100+ FC games under his belt and a few fifties in the last 4-day season, Leon Johnson will be leading the side and I’m picking him only because I know he will be available to play. Another star batsman in the side is opener Chandrapal Hemraj who had a brilliant CPL 2019 which saw him scoring a few fifties and picking 5 wickets as well. He will give them good starts while Tagenarine Chanderpaul can take over in the middle order.
With the ball, they have the experienced Ronsford Beaton in the squad who however, hasn’t played much cricket in recent months and can be left out. instead, you can pick Raymon Reifer who had a fabulous CPL 2019 including a 4-fer in the final which helped his team win the title. All-rounders are key for fantasy leagues and Chris Barnwell fits the bill perfectly. Another potential all-rounder pick – Gudakesh Motie.
West Indies Emerging Team
This team has a bunch of inexperienced players and they will be led by Yannic Cariah who is a useful addition to your MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team as he had 14 wickets and a top score of 61 in the recent 4-day tournament. Another worthy pick in the middle order could be Roland Cato who scored a fifty, a career best 103 and many non-converted starts in that 2018/19 4-day season.
Justin Greaves scored 57 in his opening game at CPL 2019 and while he didn’t do much after that, he will be a worthy pick as he also has 46 wickets in 22 FC games. Son of former cricketer Vasbert, Dominic Drakes had only 1 wicket in 4 games in CPL 2019 but prior to that, he had a good Super50 2018 with a best of 4/44 against USA and you can expect him to continue the wicket taking in Super50 Cup 2019.
