While the PSL and IPL were cancelled and postponed earlier in the year, BBL 2021/22 was untouched with Covid-19 issues until Match 27 of the tournament where a game was put off because of coronavirus. However, the league continues as usual and we have BBL 11 Match 28 today where Adelaide Strikers will be the home side. They’ve had a pathetic season this year so far, with only 1 win in their 6 outings!
They’ll be looking to overturn their fate so far but they’re playing Sydney Thunder who beat Scorchers in the last game, the latter being the table toppers and losing only their first match after 7 matches this season. Thunder has 3 wins in their 6 games this season and will be favourites going into this encounter. Keep reading for our complete MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) STR vs THU fantasy preview…

Adelaide Strikers
With the bat, not many will be picking opener Jake Weatherald in their STR vs THU fantasy teams because he had a very poor start to the BBL 2021/22 season but his 51 in the last game is the confidence that he needs going forward, so we’re adding him to our side. Matt Renshaw has only played 3 games this season but he’s found his touch already with 63 in the last game and 100+ runs in the season so far, and he can be picked as well.
Wicket-keeper Harry Nielsen has only 64 runs in 6 games, so we’re leaving him out and we can add middle-order batsman Jono Wells to our side instead. With the ball, there’s plenty of BBL experience in someone like Peter Siddle and though he’s got only 7 scalps in 6 games, he’s making our STR vs THU Dream11 team. Rashid Khan has been an integral part of the side and is their leading wicket-taker this year too, so don’t leave him out.
Sydney Thunder
No changes in the squad since their win in the last game and we’re picking both the Sangha brothers. Tanveer has been great in the last couple of seasons but Jason Sangha announced himself this year with good scores in all three games he played in BBL 11. England’s Alex Hales has only 100 runs in 6 games this season but he’s been hitting the ball really well and finding ways to get out, so we’re picking him as well.

Another Englishman in the form of his life is Sam Billings who has 236 runs this season and is their top scorer as well. He is anchoring as well as turning up the heat when needed, and has to be in everyone’s MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) STR vs THU fantasy teams. With 7 scalps in 3 games since he joined the squad, including a 4-fer on BBL debut, we can’t leave out Saqib Mahmood either.
