My strategy for this game’s fantasy team is no different than t was in the last game. I’m going to pick 3 English bowlers and an overall 7-4 team in England’s favour. High scores in the Sri Lanka team are like 12, 15, 20 and that’s not going to help your fantasy team much, let alone helping the country win a match.
In the fantasy preview of the 2nd T20, we spoke about how Chamari Athapaththu is one of the most experienced players in the Sri Lanka side, but her best score in 5 games so far is just 30, with two scores in the twenties as well. She will want to help her team to a respectable total, if not a win. Shashikala Siriwardene has shown good all-round abilities on this tour so far and I wouldn’t miss her in my team. She has 4 wickets against England in the last few games along with a few 10+ scores.
England Women
Amy Ellen Jones is someone you want for sure, as captain or vice-captain. While there are a few in-form England batters, Jones is one you cannot miss because she bats at the top of the order. Just in the 2nd T20 preview, we spoke about the fact that she had 4 fifties in her last 5 international outings, and she followed it up with 36 in the last game. She is my wicket-keeper and captain for this 3rd T20.
35, 43, 63, 50*, 16* – Tammy Beaumont’s scores so far on this tour. This means she can be your captain/vice-captain as well. Katherine Brunt and Natalie Sciver are all-round options, but you can drop these two popular players as there’s a high chance that they may not even get to bat. Instead, pick someone like Linsey Smith. who has 3/37 so far this series and these stats could very well get better in the 3rd T20.
