Don’t go by the above stat for Shadab Khan as most of them have come in domestic games and T20 leagues. For Pakistan however, he has managed only 4 wickets in 3 games against Sri Lanka and he has been expensive too. With the ball, go in with the pacers especially Mohammad Amir who has been good in the last couple of months, even though he was wicketless in the last game. Mohammad Hasnain was the leading bowler in that 1st T20 with 3/37.
With the bat, Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad were brought into the side and Akmal scored a duck, while Shehzad only managed 4 in 9 balls. Pakistan may consider bringing back Fakhar Zaman for this game. They might even consider bringing in Haris Sohail for Iftikhar Ahmed or Asif Ali. With the ball, Faheem Ashraf had 0/31 in the last game but he’s coming off a very successful time in England’s T20 Blast.
Sri Lanka
Firs pick for me has to be Danushka Gunathilaka because he scored a century in the 3rd ODI and immediately followed it with a fifty in the 1st T20. Along with him, there’s the very talented Avishka Fernando who had a breakthrough World Cup but hasn’t been able to shine on this tour as yet. He stuck around for 30-odd in the last game and that time at the crease may help him get a better eye in today.
With the ball, I will pick Wanindu Hasaranga as the 22-year old has been consistently among the wickets and runs for SL Emerging Team in recent months. Another player I can’t miss in my Fantain (Use Code “READ123”) fantasy team is the captain Dasun Shanaka. The captain hasn’t been among the wickets but is constantly hitting the big blows which will help the team in this T20 series.
