It’s easily the toughest game of the competition as Sri Lanka U23 and Bangladesh U23 face off for the first time in the 2019 South Asian Games T20 competition. Both have been ruthless in this tournament and both ended their respective campaigns with 3 wins in 3 games each. Eventually, these two will also be facing off in the final, fighting for the prestigious gold medal.
Being the only 2 U-23 sides in the competition, both have done well and Bangladesh in particular will feel comfortable because they’ve been here and done this in the past. Bangladesh U-23
First person in your fantasy team has to be Soumya Sarkar as he’s more experienced than anyone else in both sides, with 100+ games for Bangladesh. In fact, he’s been brilliant against all oppositions, so he’s good to pick as your captain too, which is safe because almost everyone will have him as captain, and he’s bound to do well with bat and ball. His opening partner Mohammad Naim is another safe selection.
With the ball, pick Afif Hossain first as the guy can surprise you, picking a 5-fer on BPL debut back in 2016. He recently played 3 T20Is against India and he’s good with the bat as well, so multiple chances of raking in fantasy points. While he’s not their top wicket-taker in the series, Minhajul Abedin Afridi will be less popular in fantasy leagues and that’s why I’ll pick him today. Najmul Hossain Shanto has scores of 49 and 75* in 2 innings here and also 4 fifties in his last 6 games.
Sri Lanka U-23
We spoke about one man before this competition and that was Kamindu Mendis. Despite a couple of failures, e scored one century and is currently the top scorer for Sri Lanka in this series, while also picking up 4 wickets in 3 games, so you’d have to be foolish to drop him from your fantasy side. Let’s not forget about Pathum Nissanka who has in fact been more consistent with scores of 30, 76 and 16 so far this competition.
Also with 4 wickets in 3 games is Asitha Fernando who you should also pick in your My11Circle (Get Rs.500 Bonus*) fantasy team, as he’s one to watch out for in the future. Another bowler who has been doing really well in recent months is Kavishka Anjula who has 3 wickets in 3 games, despite not getting to bowl much in their second game. He also had a successful season with the Colts in the domestic circuit.
