It has been a happy time for Indian cricket fans with Team India recently beating South Africa in the 1st Test and along with men’s action, the women’s teams are also in action. South Africa Women travelled down to India to play a couple of practice games, followed by 6 T20Is and 3 ODIs. With a few washed out to rain, India Women managed to win the T20Is 3-1, having only lost the 6th and final T20I.
The series now enters a longer format as the two teams will play a series of 3 ODIs starting on 9th October. Along with her, Masabata Klaas has joined the squad, someone who had 6 wickets in 2 bowling innings in 2 ODIs against Pakistan Women earlier this year. India Women
India will be led by Mithali Raj, someone who has been out of action since the Women’s IPL earlier this year. Instead, let’s pick those batters who have been in the action like Harmanpreet Kaur who scored 94 runs in the 4 T20Is, and Jemimah Rodrigues who scored 59 runs in 4 innings.
