What a surprising result we had in the opening match of this 3-match ODI series. Pakistan Women have a horrid record against South Africa Women but it looks like thy’re on the way to improving that record in this series. They won the 1st ODI rather comfortably after tearing apart the hosts and getting them bowled out for just 63. That was followed by an easy chase.
In the fantasy preview of the 1st ODI, we spoke about Sana Mir and how her experience will count, which clearly did as she led the bowling attack with her 4 wickets that hurt the hosts. For the 2nd ODI, you will have a better idea of who’s in form and who isn’t. South Africa Women
Honestly speaking, both teams will be looking to play the same playing elevens, even though the hosts were outplayed in the 1st ODI. Your wicket-keeper pick comes from this team in Lizelle Lee as she is highly experienced and opens the batting. Even though she didn’t take the keepers gloves in the last game, she is still listed as wicket-keeper in most fantasy websites. Pick her unless you have budgetary concerns.
Only two Pakistan wickets fell in the last game and they were picked by Shabmin Ismail and Marizanne Kapp. Once again, I’ll be picking both these players while Kapp can also be you captain due to her batting abilities as well. Another player who could be an x-factor fantasy player is Andrie Steyn.
Pakistan Women
Like we always say, experience is the biggest factor that needs to be considered while selecting your fantasy teams. With the bat, Javeria Khan is one of the most experienced batters and her 34 off 43 balls in the last game means she’s one of the first names on my team sheet while Sana Mir’s 4/11 means she is not someone you can miss. In fact, Mir could also be your captain/vice-captain.
A couple of others who also performed in the 1st ODI were Nida Dar and Nashra Sandhu, both of whom picked up 2 wickets each but were clearly overshadowed. Nida Dar is also a sweet timer of the ball but didn’t get to bat in the last game. Due to her all-round abilities, she can also be considered as captain or vice-captain of your PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234”) fantasy team of the SA W and PAK W game.
