We’re really looking forward to this game in the Big Bash League. On one side is Perth Scorchers that is on top of the BBL 2021/22 points table and they’ve only lost one game so far this tournament. They’ve got 8 wins in their 9 games this season and lost just one. They’re the clear favourites to win BBL 11 and thus are favourites here too, even though they’ve lost a couple of players to national call-ups.
On the other hand is Sydney Thunder who has one of the best teams on paper in BBL 11 but they’ve not done justice to their talent this season. In fact, they’re the only team to have beaten Scorchers this season when they played the reverse fixture but now, they’re hurt by a few Covid-19 cases so are weak again. Perth Scorchers
One of the players who has only 14 runs in his last 3 games is Laurie Evans but he’s a great T20 resource with experience around the world. With Mitchell Marsh out, he’ll bat higher up the order as well, so we’re not keeping him out of our SCO vs THU fantasy team. Very quietly, Kurtis Patterson has become one of only three players in this tournament to have three fifties in BBL 11, so don’t miss out on this top order batter either. Back in the squad is Matthew Kelly!
Everyone will be picking Andrew Tye in their SCO vs THU Dream11 teams because he’s the leading wicket-taker in the BBL 11 season so far but we think there’s a better bowling option in the English pacer, Tymal Mills, who has got 12 wickets in just 6 games. If your fantasy sports app allows you the budget, pick both as they both have a great number of variations which are good for T20 cricket. Aaron Hardie has found a place in the side and could be your x-factor pick!
Sydney Thunder
Best news for this team is that Alex Hales is back in the side and while he’s barely got any runs in this BBL 2021/22 season, he’s been hitting it well and has found unfortunate ways to get out each time, so we can’t leave him out today. When he was out, Ben Cutting opened the innings for a couple of games and with the confidence from those thirties he scored, he’s now someone worth picking in your team as well.

Tanveer Sangha is still unavailable which means Gurinder Sandhu will keep his place in the team and he’s worth picking in our MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) SCO vs THU fantasy team as he isn’t a very popular pick this season. After a great BBL debut, Muhammad Hasnain is unavailable due to Queensland border restrictions while Saqib Mahmood remains their best pace option today.
