It’s the weekend and to celebrate, we have a double header here at the 2021/22 Big Bash League in Australia. The first game is between Sixers and Hurricanes and the action moves on to Match 9 of BBL 2021/22 later that evening. Perth Scorchers are 3-time champions in this tournament and they’re favourites as they’re be in action here after beating Brisbane Heat by 6 wickets in their first game of BBL 11.
On the other hand is a very experienced side in Adelaide Strikers who began with a loss in BBL 11 but they came back well and beat Renegades by a massive 49 runs margin, so they’ve clearly got momentum on their side going into this game. Numbers
- Head to head in last 5 games, Strikers leads 4-1.
- Ashton Turner – 1 fifty, 1 century in last 4 List A games.
Perth Scorchers
He got a start in the last game but threw it away after getting to the twenties but Cameron Bancroft has been in good touch and even got a List A 124* just last month, so we’ll pick this wicket-keeper batsman in our SCO vs STR fantasy team. Additionally, there’s Laurie Evans from England who can bat anywhere in the lineup and has plenty of franchise league experience, struggling slightly in the last game with 33(33)*.
Captain Ashton Turner is also a great pick but he bats low down the order and we’ll leave him out of our SCO vs STR Dream11 team today. Instead, pick Aaron Hardie who had a breakout season in BBL 10 and while he didn’t bowl in the last game, he’s a bowling all-rounder who is pretty handy. A spin option with some international experience under his belt so far is Ashton Agar who got 1/16 in 4 overs in the last game, and we’ll pick him over Peter Hatzoglou.
Adelaide Strikers
Not many picked Wes Agar after his wicketless first game and he become my winning player in the second game for Strikers, where he picked 3/17 in 3 overs. One of the leading bowlers in BBL 10, he’s going to be a massive bowler for them all season, and we can’t leave him out. Another pick for fantasy captain or vice-captain could be Matthew Short who opens the batting and has been among the wickets as well so far.

With scores of 18 and 11 so far this season, his opening partner Jake Weatherald has been getting starts but hasn’t been able to carry on, but we’ll add him to our MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) SCO vs STR fantasy team because he’s been in good form and had 400+ runs last season too. One of the more experienced BBL cricketers, they have Jonathan Wells in the middle order who scored 37 in the last game.
