Between 20 September and 14 October, South Africa Women have their tour of India scheduled which will include two practice games, 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs. The tour begins with a T20 practice game against Board President’s XI Women and this game takes place at Surat.
The tour will run simultaneously with South Africa men’s tour of India and this is a great sign for the global game of cricket. Batter Vellaswamy Vanitha will be looking to impress as she has a few consistent last scores but she last played for India in 2016. X-factor bowler for today – Mansi Joshi who has 15 wickets in 15 international games for India Women.
South Africa Women
The visiting team will be led by Sune Luus and this 23-year old all-rounder has proved time and again how capable she is. While she doesn’t have a wicket in her last 6 games for Thunder at the 2019 Kia Super League, she’s definitely a part of my team today. Mignon du Preez has 14 ODI fifties and 2 centuries in her 114 ODIs so she brings a lot of experience to the fore.
