The side is being led by Heinrich Klaasen as it is in the T20 format since a while now. He has been having a good time in domestic cricket and looked good when he toured Pakistan recently, so we’re adding him to our SA vs PAK 2st T20 fantasy team today. Temba Bavuma and Dwaine Pretorius are out while Reeza Hendricks also pulled out at the last minute because of the birth of his child which means this is a really depleted side.

With the bat, I’d definitely want the 23-year old Kyle Verreynne in my side who scored 62 in the final ODI against Pakistan and prior to that, he had 2 consecutive centuries in the FC format as well including a top score of 216*. The bowling unit is going to be a very inexperienced one and someone like Andile Phehlukwayo is a great pick for today’s SA vs PAK Dream11 team since he can be useful with the bat too.

Pakistan

First things first, they’ve brought in Sharjeel Khan but the former hasn’t really done well at the international circuit. Instead, I’d pick Mohammad Hafeez today even though he’s 40 years old because he ended 2020 as one of the highest run scorers in T20Is. Someone who can be selected as fantasy captain or vice-captain is Faheem Ashraf since he’s been contributing with both bat and ball across formats in recent months.

Usman Qadir is someone who started his international career really well when SA toured Pakistan earlier this year and we think he can continue his wicket-taking if picked in today’s 1st T2oI.
