Numbers
- Pragyan Ojha – only 2 wickets in his last 8 professional games.
- Mohammed Kaif – 3 fifties in last 8 professional games.
- Shivnarine Chanderpaul – 423 List A games in his career.
- Ricardo Powell – 8 single-digit scores in last 10 games.
India Legends
The side is being captained by Sachin Tendulkar who recently played during the bushfires charity game in Australia and looked in good touch. Wankhede has been his home ground for years and he shouldn’t be skipped from your IN-L vs WI-L fantasy team. Relatively younger than the rest of the lot is Yuvraj Singh who announced his retirement less than a year ago and the all-rounder has been travelling for various leagues.
33-year old Pragyan Ojha is probably the youngest in the side but he hasn’t been great with the ball recently, which led him to announcing his retirement early. Don’t forget to pick someone like Irfan Pathan because he has all-round abilities while Sairaj Bahutule can also perform with both bat and ball. Virender Sehwag’s style of batting will never change and I’d like to choose him in my fantasy team as well!
West Indies Legends
At 50 years of age, Brian Lara displayed some amazing footwork in the charity game in Australia recently, where he smashed 30(11)* and retired himself out. Though he had a heart attack only recently, he looks fit as ever, and should be in your MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team. The very experienced Shivnarine Chanderpaul retired only 2 years ago and he can surely be picked as well.
Though he has only 6 wickets in his last 10 professional games, Samuel Badree was at one stage one of the best T20I bowlers who could spin it with the new ball and has some mad records as well. Another player who is relatively younger and had quite a few good days in the maroon jersey is Sulieman Benn and these two could do well on the turning Wankhede pitch in Mumbai.
