It’s only the second day of the 2019 Qatar T10 League and it’s the first double header of the season. We have Falcon Hunters and Heat Stormers in action in the second game of the day after the first game being played at the same ground between Riders and Gallopers. Remember that both teams have a majority of Qatar players in the line-up, so choose accordingly.
One thing we realized from yesterday’s game is that an 80-odd total is never going to be enough. While selecting your fantasy team for this game, first select the more experienced players and those who might have had international exposure too. Numbers
- Hashim Amla – best of 47* in 6 games at Abu Dhabi T10 2019.
- Salman Butt in an FC game in September 2019 – 237.
- Saad bin Zafar – 15 wickets in last 10 games for Canada.
- Manpreet Gony in 3 games at GT20 Canada 2019 – wicketless.
Falcon Hunters
At the top of the order, we have Hashim Amla who batted through the innings in a couple of games at the 2019 Abu Dhabi T10 League and I won’t be surprised if he does the same here. I’m picking him for his experience while another experienced player is former Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt who has been impressive in the domestic circuit in recent times, scoring 3 centuries in 9 FC games for Central Punjab.
Two Oman players who have been doing well consistently for the national side are Aqib Ilyas and Fayyaz Butt, the latter also having played for the Pakistan U-19 side. Ilyas has all-round abilities so there’s no way I’m omitting him from my team. Another player who has been great for Canada in recent months is Saad bin Zafar who will surely come useful with the ball, while he bats too low down the order to be useful in 10 over games.
Heat Stormers
Captain Sikandar Raza is one of the best all-rounders going around the world at the moment, and it’s going to be great to see him back in action tonight. He’s even a good choice to be your fantasy team’s captain. They also have India’s Manpreet Gony in the side who hasn’t been playing much professional cricket in recent months and hasn’t even been among the wickets, but I’ll back him to do well here; he’s also a floater in the batting order.
Mohammad Shahzad can be the wicket-keeper of your MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team, though he hasn’t had great form since his axe from the national side. Naeem Islam from Bangladesh had a fifty and a century in 6 FC games for Rangpur Division last month, and he’s a good pick because his off-spinners might also be required in this format.
