We’re barely past the halfway mark and it’s already safe to safe that it’s done and dusted. Pakistan U-19 set out on a tour of South Africa where they would play 7 Youth ODIs between 22 June and 7 July but they have already won the series 4-0 after 4 ODIs, with 3 games still to be played. It’s clear who is the dominant team but we’re not here to predict a winner, but individual heroes in fantasy cricket!
Stay off the ICC 2019 World Cup for a while and try and make some big bucks in this game here as South Africa U-19 try to fight for some pride and PAK U-19 will probably test their bench strength and go in with a few changes prior to the final 3 dead rubbers. South Africa U-19
After missing the opening game, Imraan Philander has played all of the ODIs and I mentioned in the fantasy preview of the 4th ODI that he could be the x-factor player here. He picked 3 wickets and now we may see a rise in his popularity in fantasy leagues, but I’ll continue to pick him; Philander, along with Achilles Cloete and Bryce Parsons are SA U19’s leading wicket-takers this series with 5 wickets apiece.
Parson is the captain and his all-rounder abilities guarantees him a spot in my team. He has 100+ runs also in the series and did well in the 4th ODI even though he bowled only 4 overs and dropped himself to #7 i the batting line-up, still scoring 39. Pick him as captain/vice-captain and with the bat, Jonathan Bird seems like the best option. He isn’t their top scorer but 115 in 3 games means he has been pretty consistent. Their top scorer is Ruan Terblance with 166 runs, including 53 in the 4th ODI.
Pakistan U-19
Mohammad Aamir only played the 1st ODI and has been sitting out since then due to injury while his replacement Naseem Shah seems to be enjoying himself. Pick Shah as he is the highest wicket-taker with 9 wickets in 3 games only. Another worthy fantasy team pick is Aamir Ali, who wasn’t noticed much in the first 3 games with 3 wickets but the 4th ODI spell of 4/44 did the trick, so it’s worth including him.

The batting is in mighty fine hands with Haider Ali going all guns blazing at the top. His efforts were overshadowed by captain Rohail Nazir in the Sri Lanka series recently but after Nazir dropped himself down the order, Ali has been the center of attraction so picking both in your Dotball (Sign-up and get Rs. 51 FREE) fantasy team won’t be a bad idea. Ali has 253 runs while Nazir has 191 runs in 4 games with their scores in the 4th ODI being 59 and 89 respectively.
