There it is. The final. Somerset play Hampshire in the last game of the 2019 Royal London One Day Cup and these two have easily been the best performing teams of the tournament. Both played in their respective semi-finals on 12th May and they are back refreshed for the final a couple of weeks later.
Somerset won their final by 115 runs while Hampshire registered a 4-wicket victory in their semi-final. The final will be played at the Home of Cricket and both teams have a few changes made to their squad for the final. Hampshire
The biggest loss for this team is that of Liam Dawson, who had 274 runs and 18 wickets this season but he has now gone to be with the national team. Another big name missing for them is James Vince, also picked for the national side so skip these two for your fantasy side. Lewis McManus, Brad Taylor, Ian Holland and Joe Weatherley are the names who are called up in their place.
Aiden Markram had 466 runs this season and he’s also missing, now with the South African national side. In his place, Rilee Rossouw has been brought in and he finds a spot in my fantasy side. Joe Weatherley got 66 in his last FC game and will likely make the side while Gareth Berg is your best all-rounder option, having also picked a 5-for in the last game.
Somerset
For Somerset, most of the star players are still int he squad with Tom Abell leading the side, who is my wicket-keeper pick too. Azhar Ali has been a revelation, scoring well and as a bonus, picking up wickets as well. He can easily be the captain of your Dotball (Sign-up here) fantasy team for this game. Or vice-captain at least.
Roelof van der Merwe has also been brilliant with 11 wickets and a few healthy contributions with the bat, which means he makes my side while Craig Overton can’t be ignored either – leading wicket taker and a couple of fifties at the start of the season. With 388 runs this season, James Hildreth can also be added to your fantasy side.
