To accommodate the T20 Super Smash competition, the ODD tournaments in both the men’s and women’s circuits took a break in New Zealand. Now, we’re back to the 50-over format in the 2020/21 New Zealand Women’s ODD tournament and we have Northern Districts Women set to play in Match 19 and the first game ever since the break in December last year.
This team would have to improve on their performances so far as they’ve only got 2 wins in their 6 matches in the tournament while their opponents for today is Otago Women! The latter has had an even worse tournament so far with 6 losses in 6 games, comfortably seated at the bottom of the points table right now. Numbers
- Head to head in last 5 games, Otago Women leads 3-2.
- Lucy Boucher – wicketless in all of her last 5 matches.
Northern Districts Women
One of the best all-rounders in the squad, Brooke Halliday is the team’s highest scoring batter as well as bowler right now and she even scored 79 in a warmup game against England Women. She has 8 wickets and 200+ runs in 6 games and should be in our NSW vs OSW fantasy team. Talking about all-rounders, we have Eimear Richardson in the side and the Irish is also an excellent pick for your team today.
Remember that the national side players will be busy in the England Women series. We think Felicity Leydon-Davis is another excellent all-rounder option even though she had a few quiet matches to finish off her Women’s Super Smash 2020/21 campaign. A regular part of the side so far, Lucy Boucher hasn’t been among the wickets and won’t be a very popular pick which makes her an x-factor player in our NSW vs OSW Dream11 team.
Otago Women
Still only 19 years old, Emma Black has been making a name for herself with regular wickets with the ball in hand and in her last 10 games, she’s managed 12 scalps which means there’s a budding future NZ Women player in this squad. With the bat in hand, Caitlin Blakely had a poor T20 season but we hope she gets back to her 50-over best as she had 2 fifties in 6 games in the NZ Women’s ODD before we breaked off.

If you want another player who is surely going to contribute to your My11Circle (Get Rs.500 Bonus) NSW vs OSW fantasy team, try EJ Carson. She has only a best of 17 with the bat and 5 scalps in 6 games with the ball, but there’s plenty of more potential in this player. If you’re unsure about the wicket-keeper for your team today, go in for the 24-year old Polly Inglis who will likely bat at the top of the order.
