Angelo Mathews doesn’t suit this T10 style of cricket and I’ll pick Kusal Perera over him, even tough Mathews scored more runs this season. After 2 failures, Kusal smashed 43(18) in the last game.
Coming in place of Paul Stirling is Sherfane Rutherford who played his first game and scored 18(11). He didn’t have the best of outings for the national team against Afghanistan but he can hit the cricket ball a long, long way. Another player who just comes off national duty is Mohammad Nabi who picked 2/13 in his debut game here in Abu Dhabi. X-factor with the ball will be Dushmantha Chameera who bowls quick and has a wicket in all three games so far.
Northern Warriors
It’s Dre Russ Andre Russell who will have to be your captain if you’re playing a 1-on-1 fantasy league. Russell has a best of 58* with the bat so far to go with 3 wickets this season, their best bowler as well as batsman. After score of 1 and 14 in the first couple of games, Sam Billings managed 35* in the last game and he can be your wicket-keeper pick today, being a very smart cricketer over the years.
Mark Deyal came into the team in place of George Munsey and I like him for my Nostragamus (sign-up with “READSCOOPS” for Rs.100 FREE) fantasy team because he bowls too. He got one scalp even though he didn’t bat in the last game. Sri Lanka’s Asela Guneratne hasn’t been used well in this tournament with only 1 run and 0 wickets in 3 games, with one outing each in both departments. If used better, he can be a massive contributor.
