The Super50 Cup is one of the most exciting ODD tournaments in the Caribbean, which takes place between regional teams, USA, Canada, a few Caribbean islands and the West Indies Emerging Team. It’s a shortcut to national team representation and we’re all set for Match 1 of the 2019 Super50 Cup which will be played between Combined Campuses and Colleges and the Leeward Islands at Basseterre.
As the name suggests, the tournament will be a 50-over competition and it will run from 6th November to 1st December 2019. A total of 10 teams will battle it out and the top 4 will proceed to the semi finals, with the mega final scheduled for 1st December. Another option with the bat could be Jonathan Drakes who had a top score of 70 last season too. Leeward Islands
The side will be captained by Jahmar Hamilton and while he hasn’t had great scores in recent months, I’ll pick him in my Nostragamus (sign-up with “READSCOOPS” for Rs.100 FREE) fantasy team as he has international experience, recently making his Test debut. However, your must-have player here has to be all-rounder Rahkeem Cornwall who also recently made his Test debut and then scored a couple of fifties in CPL 2019 too.
Former West Indies opener Kieran Powell recently had a very poor FC season with only 1 50+ score in 14 innings while also bagging multiple single-digit scores. However, with 3 Test centuries to his name, he has experience and should be in your fantasy team. Montcin Hodge scored a century in the latest FC season and also a fifty against India A earlier this year. Jeremiah Louis can be your all-rounder pick.
