Numbers
- Kamlesh Nagarkoti – last played a competitive game in Feb 2019.
- Armaan Jaffer last 4 FC scores for Mumbai – 6, 0, 0, 5.
- Sompal Kami – only 1 wicket in his last 4 T20 internationals.
- KC Karan – 11 wickets in last 4 T20 internationals for Nepal.
India Emerging Team
The Indian side will be led by wicket-keeper batsman BR Sharath who began his career with an FC century but that was his only one in 10 innings so far. We have a few IPL stars in the squad including pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti who was picked by KKR but didn’t play due to injury. Pick him but make sure he’s in the playing eleven as he isn’t 100% fit as yet and a decision on him playing will be taken on game day.
Another exciting pick with the ball could be Arshdeep Singh who was picked for Kings XI Punjab and made his debut in IPL 2019, where he picked 3 wickets in 3 games, bowling to world-class batsmen. One of the most experienced players in the squad would be Shivam Dube but we’re unsure of his participation. Instead, pick the talented nephew of the legendary Wasim Jaffer, 20-year old batsman Armaan Jaffer.
Nepal Emerging Team
Sandeep Lamichhane is playing the T10 League in Abu Dhabi while Paras Khadka misses out for personal reasons, so remember not to pick these two in your Nostragamus (sign-up with “READSCOOPS” for Rs.100 FREE) fantasy team. Gyanendra Malla has been named as the captain of the Nepal side and while he has only 2 fifties in 27 international games for Nepal, he is one of their most experienced players and should be picked.
While he hasn’t had a great run for the national side recently, Sompal Kami bagged 3 wickets and scored 77 runs across two innings in a recent FC game. His all-round abilities make me pick him and another player with similar abilities with both bat and ball is KC Karan who bagged 6 wickets in that latest FC game. He bats lower down, but high chances he will get a bat against a good Indian bowling attack.
