Australia and New Zealand have been doing well in the ongoing ICC 2019 World Cup in England, with both teams progressing to the semi-finals stage. In another part of the world, New Zealand U-19 is touring Australia for a series of 4 ODIs between 6-12 July. The first ODI was washed out due to rain after Australia U-19 put up 269/7 and all of the games in this series will be played at the same ground in Queensland.
Not a lot of known names are in these squads but we have an idea of who will be in the line-up after the first game was played. There’s a break at the CWC 2019 today so play this game and look to make some quick money. Australia U-19
Australia is being led by Oliver Davies and this guy is a valuable member of your fantasy team as he bats and bowls both. In a recent ODI series against Sri Lanka U19, Davies went wicketless in three games but he scored 13, 52, 50* and in the 1st ODI too, he was tone of two players to score a fifty with 58(43).
The other player to get a 50+ score was Mackenzie Harvey, a middle order batsmen who also played for the Melbourne Renegades at BBL earlier this year. The middle order batsman is the nephew of Ian Harvey and if he’s anything like his uncle, he’s worth picking in your fantasy team. With the ball, picking Tanveer Sangha who had 5 wickets in 3 games against SL U-19 and was also picked by Sydney Thunder for BBL recently.
New Zealand U-19
The tourists are being led by Ollie White and it’s always recommended to pick openers in limited overs cricket. However, I’m more bullish on picking his opening partner Rhys Mariu who also bowls some leg-spin and can gain you vital fantasy points. Mariu was slightly expensive, giving 60 runs in 8 overs in the 1st ODI but he picked the important wicket of Jake Fraser.
With the ball, the hero of that 1st ODI was none other than Aditya Ashok, who bagged 3/57 int he 1st ODI and remember, it’s wickets that get you points and not the runs given. Another bowler worth of picking in your MyFab11(sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team is Kristian Clarke who bowled brilliantly for 1/30 in 9 overs in the 1st ODI.
