Along with him, Akif Javed has been a surprise too, with 7 wickets in 4 games after initially going wicketless in the first game. I would drop one of them and pick the experienced Umar Gul instead, who has only 3 wickets so far and won’t be in many fantasy teams.
Opener Awais Zia has been their biggest plus point so far this season with two fifties and a lowest score of 22 so far. He came into this tournament with good form too and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be picked in your fantasy team. With 157 runs, Imam ul Haq has also been in good form having scored 2 fifties and he’s a safety insurance who you shouldn’t drop. Your value pick would be wicket-keeper Bismillah Khan who also has 2 fifties and 119 runs this season.
Northern Punjab
Probably one of the best bowlers in T20 history, Sohail Tanvir has proved his worth once again with 7 wickets in his 4 games and while he has only 2 runs in 2 innings, he can be handy with the bat when required too. Leg-spinner Shadab Khan hasn’t been at his best in this tournament but he’s managed to pick up wickets, now with 5 scalps in 4 games. Prior to this, he had 5 wickets in 5 games against Sri Lanka and can score a few runs if needed too.
Even though Asif Ali has more runs, Umar Amin has been more consistent for Norther Punjab and the latter is my first-choice batsman today, with 1 fifty and 163 runs in 4 games so far. Another pick for your Howzat (sign-up with code “READ1234”) fantasy team is Mohammad Nawaz who is a genuine all-rounder who has been doing a little bit of batting and bowling so far this tournament. He has 2 wickets and a top score of 50.
