I’m a big fan of all-rounders especially in T20 cricket and while he isn’t a genuine all-rounder, Anwar Ali is being promoted up the order because he can give the ball a real swing. He has 45 runs so far and 6 wickets in 4 games, having gone wicketless in no game so far. The leader so far for this team and in this tournament is the 19-year old Mohammad Hasnain and you can’t really leave him out as he’s been in the wickets since the start of the tournament.
Another person worth a gamble is Sohail Khan who has plenty of Pakistan experience and can wield the willow if required too. He has only 2 wickets in 4 games, so there won’t be many takers for him in fantasy leagues. With the bat, there’s Khurram Manzoor at the top of the order who has scores of 50, 33, 35, 16, so I’m picking him for consistency. Ahsan Ali has 4 runs less than him this tournament and the 25-year old scored 119 in his last game before the T20 Cup began.
Southern Punjab
Not the most threatening Wahab Riaz we have seen till date as he has 4 wickets in 3 games, but he is surprisingly this team’s leading run scorer with 89 runs in 4 games, so he has all-rounder potential and that’s why you should pick him in your fantasy side. The team is clearly misfiring with the bat but there’s one person I’m expecting a big score from and that’s Sohaib Maqsood. He has a start in every game so far.
Similarly, with scores of 33, 15, 27 in this tournament, another person to add to your Howzat (sign-up with code “READ1234”) fantasy team is Aamer Yamin who comes with national team experience too. He also often opens the bowling and has one wicket in 3 games. Remember, he scored 142 runs and picked 5 wickets in an FC game for Southern Punjab in his last game before this T20 Cup season started.
