This team has a couple of big players who have been consistently performing in the Mumbai circuit, one being Shardul Thakur. Being a part of the CSK squad in IPL 2019, Thakur had a brilliant role to play in the final which saw him picking up 2 wickets. His pace will be threatening and you can certainly expect him to be among the wickets against these local players.
Another couple of IPL stars in this squad are Aditya Tare, famous for his last ball six for Mumbai Indians that led them to the play-offs in 2014; and 21-year old attacking batsman Sarfaraz Khan. Both these batsmen should be in your fantasy team while Sachin Wagh could be an option if budget is an issue. After a successful 2018 season, Alpesh Ramjani was signed and no one can forget his 64(34) to take his team into the final last year.
North Mumbai Panthers
Talking about the known faces in the Panthers squad, Prithvi Shaw is your number one bet. Seeing Suryakumar’s 90* in Game 1 encourages me to keep Shaw as my captain as he will be up against a mediocre bowling attack on a good batting pitch. The next known player in the line-up is the 47-year old Pravin Tambe.
Don’t let age fool you. Tambe has an IPL hat-trick and even picked 8 wickets in 4 games at last year’s T10 league in UAE. 17-year old Yashasvi Jaiswal is tipped to be the next big thing in Mumbai cricket with a recent match-winning 173 vs South Africa U19s and and 104 vs Nepal U19s.
