The MCC tour of Pakistan 2020 was a historic one and it has lived up to every expectation so far, with three exciting games played out. After winning the 1st T20 against Lahore, MCC lost the only 50-over game and then even lost the 2nd T20 against Northern. Now, they play the 3rd T20 which is also the final game of their tour, and will want to end this trip on a high.
They play against Multan Sultans in this game, and will likely play a similar team as the previous games. The franchise team has named a few foreign players in their squad but some of them may be busy with national commitments, so choose wisely. Numbers
- Rohail Nazir – 80 and 70 in last FC match.
- Shahid Afridi – only 2 wickets in 6 games at BPL 2019.
- Multan Sultans – only 3 wins in 10 games in PSL 2019.
Multan Sultans
Former U-19 captain Rohail Nazir has been producing a number of massive scores in junior level cricket, which he hasn’t been able to replicate here yet. He scored 2(7) in the 2nd T20 for Northern, but is a good fantasy pick because of his potential. They also have South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw in the squad, someone who has played plenty of PSL cricket here in the past and is used to these pitches.
With over 500 international games under his belt, there’s truly no all-rounder like Shahid Afridi, though he hasn’t been producing as great results in recent matches. He didn’t have a great BPL but can break any team on his day. Specifically with the ball, we have Sohail Tanvir in the squad who has produced some of the best T20 spells in modern day cricketing history, and should be picked for sure.
Marylebone Cricket Club
In the first game, Ravi Bopara starred with a forty with the bat and in the second T20, he bagged 3/14 with the ball, so he’s a must have, preferably even as captain of your MUL vs MAR fantasy team. Talking about all-round contributors, his England teammate Samit Patel is also a part of the squad, and he can be your vice-captain, having scored 39(35)* in the last game against Northern.
This team is full of all-rounders and Netherlands cricket Roelof van der Merwe can also be added to your MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team, bowling brilliantly in both T20s, picking 1/25 in the last game. Ross Whiteley bats low down the order but he’s a good pick because MCC is up against a high-quality bowling attack, so he will surely come into the picture.
