Mumbai T20 League 2019 is on in full swing and we’ve reached the business stages of the tournament now with Match 19 taking place between NaMo Bandra Blasters (NBB) and Eagle Thane Strikers (ETS). It was a horrible start to the season for NBB with two consecutive losses but now with a couple of straight wins, they have 2 wins in 4 games and have a decent chance of keeping up this run.

Bandra Blasters is led by Shreyas Iyer and he had a horrid season until the last game with 20 runs in 3 games. However, his 31(27) in the last game shows that he has had a sighter and is ready to get back to full form. I’m picking him as my captain especially since he had a brilliant IPL 2019 and has also been bowling in the last couple of games. His opening partner Eknath Kerkar has also come out of a run of three poor innings.
Kerkar himself had only 22 runs in 3 innings until a match-winning knock of 70(51) against SoBo SuperSonics. The shackles have broken and this opening partnership will be tough to break. It’s going to be difficult choosing a wicket-keeper as Kerkar is up against Aditya Tare who has had a brilliant MPL 2019 so far. However, I’ll pick the less expensive option of Kerkar. All-rounder Sujit Nayak is your x-factor player today.
Eagle Thane Strikers
With all the expectations on Sachin Wagh, I might say he has been a complete disappointment so far without having a single double-digit score so far. 6 wickets and 60 runs – Sagar Mishra’s season so far. All-rounders are of vital importance in T20 cricket and Mishra is a must-pick, while Alpesh Ramjani is another player to include in your fantasy team, especially after 50(30) in the last game.
With the ball, I must suggest Kruthik Hanagavadi who has definitely been expensive on some occasions but he’s a must-have in your MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team, as he has picked wickets in every one of the ETS game so far. Another player who came under the spotlight was Prashant Solanki who bagged 4/31 in his first game of MPL 2019.
