The first game of the 2019 Deodhar Trophy was a very exciting one with India B going to on to post 300+ and winning the opener of the tournament. They played India A and the latter will have to pull up their socks and come back hard as they now play Match 2 in two consecutive days, this time against India C, which will be led by young opening batsman Shubman Gill.
All games in this tournament are being played at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi and if the first game was any indicator, you should load your fantasy team with batsmen, as there seems to be plenty of runs on offer. Only 2 out of 6 wickets picked by India A were taken by spin. Keep reading for our complete MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy preview of the IN-A vs IN-C game…

Numbers
- Vishnu Vinod – 3 centuries in 8 games at the 2019 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
- Devdutt Padikkal – 609 runs in 11 games at the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
- Mayank Agarwal – 215, 108 in 3 Tests against South Africa recently.
- Dhawal Kulkarni – didn’t go wicketless once in 8 games at Vijay Hazare.
- Ishan Porel – 6/34 against Jammu and Kashmir last month.
India A
Devdutt Padikkal emerged as the highest run getter in the recently concluded 2019 Vijay Hazare Trophy along with 6 consecutive scores of 40+ at one point. Another player who you should watch out for is 19-year old Vishnu Vinod who impressed in that tournament with 498 runs in just 8 games for Kerala. Both failed in the first game with 10 and 11 runs respectively, making them better fantasy picks for today.
With the ball, Jaydev Unadkat is the most experienced and while I’m not a huge fan of him personally, he was the pick of the bowlers in the last game with 2/47 in 9 overs and he’s a must have. Your second bowling option can be anyone between Siddarth Kaul and Sandeep Warrier, the former bagging one and the latter getting none in the last game. I’d go for the less popular Warrier while Ravi Ashwin is a must pick, as he bats as a floater in domestic cricket.
India C
Wicket-keeper and Indian U-19 captain Priyam Garg has been in good form recently but I’d choose Dinesh Karthik as the wicket-keeper of my MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team as he comes with much more experience. One star batsman in this team is Mayank Agarwal who scored a couple of centuries against SA and then backed it up with scores of 47* and 69* in two games at the Vijay Hazare Cup.
With the ball, Avesh Khan had only 3 wickets in 4 games at Vijay Hazare 2019 but he’s one of India’s most exciting upcoming fast bowlers which gets him a place in my fantasy side. 21-year old Ishan Porel is also an exciting pick, with 10 wickets in his 6 games in that tournament. Pick these over the more popular bowlers like Dhawal Kulkarni. Also pick both all-rounders Axar Patel and Jalaj Saxena in your team.
