KPL 2019 Match 19 – Mysuru vs Bellary Fantasy Preview

It has been a very contrasting season for these two teams that will be playing today in Match 19 – Mysuru Warriors vs Bellary Tuskers. This is the second match of today’s KPL 2019 the double header after Belagavi and Bijapur face off in the first game. The second game sees Mysuru playing for a chance to get off the bottom spot while Bellary plays to strengthen their position at the top of the KPL 2019 points table.

Until their last game yesterday, Mysuru was winless as they played 4, lost 2 and lost another 2 to rain. But yesterday was their first win. As for Bellary Tuskers, 4 wins in 5 games has given them the top spot, and another win here would cement their position at the top. Remember, this is their last game of the round robin. Numbers

  • Head to head in last 5 games Mysuru leads 3-2.
  • Krishnamurthy Siddharth – 199 runs in 3 innings in KPL 2019.
  • Abhishek Reddy – 185 runs in 5 games at KPL 2019.
  • Krishnappa Gowtham – 15 wickets in 5 games so far.
  • Last 8 games in KPL 2019 – ALL won batting second.

Mysuru Warriors

Mysuru Warriors will need a couple of batsmen to support Krishnamurthy Siddharth who has been flawless so far. In his four innings so far, he has had a couple of seventies, a 49* and 48* and an overall average of 247! However, the next best run-scorer in the Mysuru camp prior to the last game was Aniruddha Joshi who had as little as 38 runs in KPL 2019. A good innings from him has taken his tally up to 84 runs now.

Following him is Amit Verma who has 37 runs in 5 games but the difference is that Verma has bowled in three games, which makes him a good fantasy pick even though he’s ended wicketless in the series so far. Pick Jagadeesha Suchith who has 4 wickets in 5 games (3 coming from one game), but choose him because he can bat when required too. Currently, he just has 1 run in the KPL 2019 tournament.

Bellary Tuskers

Pick a few extra Bellary Tuskers batsmen in your Rotobash (sign-up to get Rs.100 FREE) fantasy team as a handful of them have done well. Abhishek Reddy has a fifty and a lowest score of 24 runs in 5 innings, so he’s been a very consistent batsmen for them. They’re next best run-scorer this season has been Devdutt Padikkal with 2 fifties and a tally of 166 runs in his 5 innings so far. However, his last two scores are 6 and 7, so choose wisely.

The last Bellary Tuskers game was only about one man – Krishnappa Gowtham. What he did in the last game has never been done before in T20 cricket and will probably never be done again too. A century in just 39 balls, a massive score of 134* and then record-breaking T20 figures of 8/15 – figures that have never been achieved before in T20 cricket. Once again, he remains my fantasy team captain and there’s no reason no to make that move.
