The home team has the option of bringing in Boyd Rankin after Mark Adair went for 1/84 against Windies.
William Porterfield has a top score of 21 in his last 9 international innings and I’ll skip him even though he’s the top scorer at this ground. I’d pick Paul Stirling regardless of his duck in the last game. Andy Balbirnie and Kevin O’Brien bring in a lot of experience to the team, while George Dockrell could be a good pick as well for your Fantain (Use Code “READ123”) fantasy team for this IRE vs BAN game.
Bangladesh
The maturity that Tamim Iqbal shows at the top of the innings makes him my captain for this ODI while Shakib al Hasan will be vital with both bat and ball, so he is my vice-captain. My wicket-keeper pick comes from Bangladesh too, but picking Gary Wilson is also a good option as he’s going to be having a better chance at the wicket anyway.
With the ball, Mustafizur Rahman has happy memories here, having picked up 4/23 in a game before. He is returning from injury and hasn’t been in the best rhythm, having been dispatched for 2/84 in the Windies game. However, he has some brilliant variations which could get him some more wickets today. Also, make sure you have Mehidy Hasan in your fantasy team, as his 10 overs in the middle will be vital.
