You can even gamble and play him as your fantasy captain or vice-captain. Also, don’t pick Dwayne Bravo since he’s ruled out of IPL 2020 and they’re likely to play Imran Tahir or Josh Hazlewood in his place, with Immy being the Purple Cap winner last season.

Already having 4 fifties in 10 games, we think the onus lies on Faf du Plessis for getting the team a solid foundation because the middle order is surely weak, with either one of N Jagadeesan or Ruturaj Gaikwad coming in at #4. Pick Faf and pick Sam Curran as well who will be a floater in the batting line up and has 10 wickets this season too. Expect Curran to hit a few long ones with small boundaries at Sharjah.

Nathan Coulter-Nile has picked only 1 wicket in 2 games in IPL 2020, so there may be the temptation to try Chris Lynn in place of Coulter, but we’re not sure if they will want to experiment coming off a loss in the last game. One person you surely can’t leave out is Jasprit Bumrah who covered up a slow start with a barrage of wickets, now having 15 wickets in 9 games so far.
