The biggest problem for Knight Riders has been their pacers’ inability to pick wickets but that may all change now with Lockie Ferguson coming into the side and being the game changer with 3 wickets in addition to a couple in the super over. Someone like Pat Cummins can be left out but we think the young Shivam Mavi has the knack of picking wickets as well, managing 7 scalps in 7 games this season.

With the bat, I’m a huge fan of captain Eoin Morgan who got himself an unbeaten 30-odd score in the last game but we think he bats too low down the order. Id’ like to see him bat at #4 or #5 so that he has enough time to settle down before going berserk. Remember, Andre Russell has been struggling with a hamstring injury and I don’t think he’s worth picking even if he makes the playing eleven for this game. Sunil Narine has been cleared from the suspect bowling list and could replace Russell today.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Captain Virat Kohli has been brilliant even though he hasn’t been timing the ball all that well and this stems from the fact that his partners aren’t giving him enough of support in the middle order, so I’d rather have Kohli opening so that he has enough time to settle down before accelerating. After 3 fifties in his first 4 games, Devdutt Padikkal hasn’t managed a fifty in his next 5 games but we’re still picking him because he’s scoring consistently at least in the powerplay overs.

We’re seeing Washington Sundar being continuously promoted up the order while he bowls in the powerplay as well. With the likes of Rana and Morgan in the side, he may be a good bowling option and if you like to play it risky, consider him as captain or vice-captain of your Nostragamus (Get Rs.200 FREE) fantasy team. Another similar option is Chris Morris who has 9 wickets in 4 games and can hit a few lusty blows with the bat too.
