If you have to pick a wicket-keeper between Rahul and Mumbai’s Quinton de Kock, I’d persist with Rahul as his poor scores so far would make him the less popular pick. It’s a gamble but could very easily pay off.
With the ball, my two picks would be Mujeeb Rahman and Mohammed Shami. Shami has bowled incredibly well and shown some good rhythm so far in the 2019 Indian Premier League, but only has one wicket in two games. As for Rahman, his record at this ground is amazing, with an economy rate of just 6.6, which means he could come back into the team in place of Hardus Viljoen, while mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy may also be rested.
Mumbai
I don’t see any reason why Mumbai would want to make a change to their winning combination from the last game. Last year, they suffered from a middle-order weakness, but this year, that seems to have vanished. Rohit Sharma has taken responsibility at the top, Yuvraj Singh is looking good with a 50 in the first game, followed by 3 consecutive sixes off Yuzvendra Chahal in the last game. Suryakumar Yadav too, has been very consistent in the last couple of seasons of the Indian Premier League.
Your Mumbai bowlers is what will make the difference in your fantasy team scoring. Jasprit Bumrah is going to be a 90% pick in everyone’s team, so why don’t we leave him out for once? Pick Lasith Malinga and the young spinner Mayank Markande. Also, the Pandya brothers are almost guaranteed to bowl 4 overs each which gives you enough of wicket taking options for Mumbai.
