We’re all set for Match 5 of the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) and after one round of exciting cricket, this is the fist game of Round 2, where winners meet winners. Both Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings won their opening games and by the end of this night, one team will walk away with their first loss of IPL 2019. Delhi will be playing at their home ground and hoping the pitch favours them.
As for Chennai, it’s another day in the business. Eat, sleep, win, repeat. Delhi is clearly the more exciting team on paper but MS Dhoni weaves a certain magic, here handling a team with a 30+ average age. In the last game, we saw him manufacture most of the RCB wickets to fall. Now, keep reading for our complete PlayerPotz (Use Code “READ1234”) fantasy preview of the DC vs CSK game…

Delhi
There was a whirlwind knock from Rishabh Pant in the last game, which increased this player’s already growing popularity. For the wicket-keeper spot, he is up against his opposite MS Dhoni. Pant bats higher and can get a move on quicker than the aging Dhoni, but the latter has the ability to show everyone who’s boss, like he did in the last game against RCB. I’m going to take the gamble of picking Dhoni ahead of Pant. It’s high risk for great reward!.
Someone you should consider is Colin Ingram, who was picked ahead of Colin Munro and pretty rightly so. His 47 in the last game continued his great form after a fifty and a stunning unbeaten century for Karachi Kings in the PSL recently. Keep away from picking Keemo Paul, as his 1/21 wasn’t overly impressive and he may give way for Sandeep Lamichhane. Chris Morris is also a likely replacement as he has arrived in India.
Chennai
Here’s a look at some players who didn’t perform in the last game. Shane Watson. Deepak Chahar. Suresh Raina. Now fantasy cricket has grown tremendously in India in the last 1 year so there are many people coming in without an idea of every player in the team. In such cases, they would pick on the points indicator or popularity indicator. Clearly, these players didn’t get much points in the first game, but that doesn’t make them bad players, does it?
Let’s remember Watson scored a century in the IPL 2018 to end a brilliant season and win them the cup, while those who watched the last game would know Chahar bowled beautifully. His 0/17 in 4 overs was so good that MS Dhoni bowled him out right at the start, and while his wickets column shows nothing, he is a wicket taker. He put the pressure on the batsmen, who got out to Harbhajan Singh bowling from the other end. CSK may play the same team with 3 overseas players.
