If the first game was a clash of the top of the table, the second game of this Super Saturday promises to be much better. Match 19 of the 2019 Indian Premier League and it’s going to be a battle of two of the best as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) get ready to host Mumbai Indians (MI), the former having quite a few captains in recent years. Now, they will be led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar but that goes to show how much experience exists in that camp.

While Mumbai have been slow starts over the years, IPL 2019 has been somewhat better for them so far, with 2 wins from 4 games. As for SRH, they have 3 wins in 4 games and begin the day as table toppers, but obviously will lose that regardless of who wins Match 18, because of the competition at the top of the points table. Hyderabad

Now this is one side on a rampage, and their foreign players are especially doing well. David Warner and Jonny Bairstow have 264 and 246 runs in 4 games respectively, at outstanding averages of 88 and 61.5 respectively. However, could they be too dependent on this duo? A couple of early wickets could help Mumbai, as we saw SRH losing 5 wickets on their way to chasing a 130-odd target in the last game. SRH’s next best batsman is Vijay Shankar, with just 100 runs so far in IPL 2019.

With the ball too, the Afghanistani duo of Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan have done well, with Nabi surprisingly having 6 wickets while Rashid has just 3. However, the pressure is tight as Rashid is going at just 5.8 while Nabi is miserly at 4 runs per over. Apart from taking wickets, Nabi scored 17(9)* in the last game. He’s my captain today but I hope he’d get to bat higher up the SRH order. I’ll drop Rashid Khan for Sandeep Sharma.

Mumbai

We believed that Krunal Pandya wasn’t being as effective in IPL 2019 but his 42 in the last game said otherwise. As for Hardik Pandya, he is proving so vital in crunch situations in almost every game, so he becomes my vice-captain today, while Krunal also makes my fantasy team. Kieron Pollard rolled back the years in the last game with a quickfire 17(7)* with two lusty sixes, but he bats so low down the order. This was just his second 2-digit score and hasn’t bowled an over in IPL 2019. Skip him.

Now how many more games is Mumbai Indians going to show faith in Yuvraj Singh? Despite his fifty in the first game and 3 consecutive sixes in the second game, Yuvi is deteriorating. He has scores of 18 and 4 in the next two games and with a high dot-ball percentage in the middle overs, he may not have too many more games in IPL 2019. Remember, Ishan Kishan is the bench waiting. With Jasprit Bumrah going wicketless in the last couple of games, I’ll drop him for Mayank Markande; spinning pitch.
