After the Indian Premier League (IPL), this is the first time we’re seeing Team India in action in a bilateral series and they begin with a T20 series at home itself. After a long while, we’re having a series where all five games will be played at different venues and we’re hoping to see a good South Africa tour of India 2022. On the schedule is only 5 T20 internationals, taking place between 9-19 June 2022.
South Africa will be bringing their regular T20I squad while India has rested quite a few notable senior players for this series. It would be great to see Ruturaj Gaikwad open alongside KL Rahul with the latter being the stand-in captain for this series and coming off a most amazing IPL 2022 season where he once again crossed he 600-run barrier in a single tournament.
Shreyas Iyer has been super consistent across formats for India and we’re picking him even though he didn’t delight KKR fans in the IPL 2022 season with the bat. We think Hardik Pandya proved his mettle in IPL 2022 and that buys him a place in our fantasy team while with the ball, there are a few contenders we want. No bowler picked more wickets than Yuzvendra Chahal in IPL 2022 while Avesh Khan should be picked among the pacers.
South Africa
Having recently retired from Tests to concentrate on the shorter formats, Quinton de Kock played the IPL 2022 season and will be familiar with conditions here. Additionally, he scored a record 140* in one game, so he’s clearly in some good touch right now. In the middle order, we want Aiden Markram in our IND vs SA Dream11 team while we think David Miller could be among the runs too, recently winning IPL 2022 with Gujarat Titans.

He hasn’t been very consistent with his performances but Marco Jansen is someone to watch out for.
