Numbers

  • Head to head in T20Is, these two teams play for the first time.
  • Tim David in last 10 professional games – 609 runs.
  • Surendran Chandramohan – 229 runs in 6 T20Is so far.

Singapore

Wicket-keeper batsman Tim David has to be the first player on your team sheet as he has been among the runs continuously, except for one rare failure yesterday in a warm-up match against Canada where he scored 11. Having migrated from Australia, David has also played the Big Bash League and he averages 56.2 in 6 T20Is so far, with a best of 77. While he’s listed as a wicket-keeper, David has bowled quite often for Singapore too.

While he didn’t play in the warm-up game, Janak Prakash is one to watch out for as the 19-year old is the only genuine all-rounder in the squad. In 6 T20Is so far, he has managed 59 runs and 9 wickets. The team was captained by opening batsman Rohan Rangarajan in the last game who has 131 runs in 6 T20Is and he bowls sometimes too. The best international player for them so far has been Surendran Chandramohan and he’s a must-pick, scoring 51 in the warm-up as well.

Scotland

This team is full of superstars, led by Kyle Coetzer who will open the batting for them. Coetzer scored 1 in the opening warm-up game against UAE but he has been in good form with 104 runs in 3 recent T20Is in Dublin. His international stats include 5 T20I fifties and 4 ODI centuries. It was Richie Berrington who top scored in that warm-up game with 34 runs and the all-rounder has also been in great form in recent months.

Safyaan Sharif is a must have in your FanFight (Sign-up and get Rs.30 FREE) fantasy team as the bowler has been among the most consistent since the last 4-5 years for Scotland. While the chance might not arise today, he can bat when required too. Scotland have picked 2 wicket-keepers for this tour but it’s likely that Matthew Cross is the firs choice keeper, who has 2 and 17 in the warm-ups but he’s had a couple of international fifties in the last month or two.
