It wasn’t great start to the tournament for Guyana Amazon Warriors who ended up losing their opening game to Trinbago Knight Riders thanks to some clumsy fielding and missed chances, and their experienced bowlers leaking too many runs. Today, they’re playing against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in Match 4 of the Hero CPL T20, the latter also having lost their campaign opening game.
St Kitts played defending champs Barbados Tridents and weren’t able to chase down the target of 154, which seems to be the par score so far after 2 games in this 2020 Caribbean Premier League tournament, and the next few games will also be played at this same ground at Tarouba. Guyana Amazon Warriors
The heroes of their CPL 2019 campaign were openers Chandrapal Hemraj and Brandon King, and they both failed in the last game with score of 3 and 0 respectively. King was the leading run scorer last season and he took 2 magnificent catches in the last game, so he’ll be high on confidence. Shimron Hatmyer top scored in the last game, living up to his potential for a score of 63(44) and he should be in your GUY vs SKN fantasy team.
There was conversation of Nicholas Pooran having faced less than 150 deliveries in CPL 2019 so they’ll be wanting to send this guy out higher up the order. Don’t go by his 18(16) in the last game as he’s one of the best T20 batsmen in the Caribbean right now. 20-year old Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq impressed with 2/21 in 3.4 overs and his variations are perfect for the T20 game, especially on a slower pitch as this one.
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots
Even at the age of 39, Rayad Emrit is managing to do brilliantly with the ball, picking 2/16 in the last game as he leads the St Kitts franchise in CPL 2020. Pick him in your fantasy side and if you want another bowling option, go in for Pakistan’s Sohail Tanvir who again has some brilliant T20 records to his name over the years and had a decent outing in the first game, ending with figures of 2/25 in 4 overs.

St Kitts is playing 3 wicket-keepers in their side in Ramdin, Dunk and Joshua Da Silva but the latter should be in your BatBall11 (Use code “READ123“) fantasy team since he’s an up and coming talent who recently got called up to the West Indies Test side, scoring 41* in the first game here as well. Among the openers, pick Evin Lewis as he had a couple of consecutive international fifties coming into this tournament.
