The Big Bash League (BBL) has been through a lot in the last couple of weeks and they seem to be surviving this entire Covid-19 trouble. Now, it’s time for BBL 11 Match 46 and it’s a single header today where two teams are in action, both of whom are desperately in need of wins. On of them is Brisbane Heat and they’ve got only 3 wins in their 10 games this season, with just 1 win in their last 5 games as well.
On the other hand is one of the few teams in this tournament who have a worse record than Heat and that’s Adelaide Strikers. They’re at the bottom of the BBL 11 points table with 2 wins in their 10 games and with Heat being affected with Covid-19 cases recently, here’s a hot chance for Strikers at The Gabba. Numbers
- Head to head in last 5 games, Strikers leads 3-2.
- 1, 4, 7, 8 – Last four scores for Tom Cooper this season.
Brisbane Heat
Former Heat captain and one of the top run scorers in BBL history Chris Lynn is back in the squad and we’re picking him because we feel he’s had a few unfortunate dismissals in BBL 11 so far. And still out of the side is their captain for this season Jimmy Peirson and that means Tom Cooper will continue to lead the side. With 20 runs in his last 4 games, no many will have him in their HEA vs STR fantasy teams and that’s an opportunity for us.
Somewhere in between this season, Ben Duckett scored two consecutive fifties and we know Englishmen love the BBL, so we’re not leaving him out of our HEA vs STR Dream11 team while they’ll be super happy to have the duo of Xavier Bartlett and Mark Steketee back from isolation as they’ve been brilliant with the ball while Bartlett has displayed his hitting ability on more than one occasion this season too.
Adelaide Strikers
Pacer Wes Agar was one of the leading bowlers of the tournament in the last season and while he’s not been consistent this year, he bowls in the death overs and that’s reason enough to pick him in our team today. Apart from him, we’re leaving Fawad Ahmed out as he’s been too expensive while we think there’s an x-factor pick in 29-year old Harry Conway who has played only 2 games this season but bagged a wicket in each one.

With the bat, we’re finally leaving Jake Weatherald out of our MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) HEA vs STR fantasy team after picking him in almost every game prior to this. He’s been consistently poor and we’re picking middle-order batter Jono Wells, who will have additional responsibility with Matt Renshaw out with Covid-19. Thomas Kelly is not a technical batsman but we’ve seen him hit some big blows, so he’s worth trying out as well.
