The 2019 Duleep Trophy follows the same format as it does each year, with each team playing two games each before the mega final. Match 1 was between India Blue and India Green and the game ended in a draw with both teams sharing a point each. Now, Blue plays again, this time against India Red at Alur.
Shubman Gill will continue to lead India Blue while India Red plays its first game here, led by Priyank Panchal, someone who has brilliant consistency but we don’t know much about his captaincy skills so far. Keep reading for our complete MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy preview of the IND-R vs IND-B game…

Stats
- Shubman Gill – 204* in last innings vs West Indies A.
- 187*, 125* – Ruturaj Gaikwad vs Sri Lanka A in June.
- Rahul Chahar – 6 wickets in 3 games vs West Indies A recently.
- Shreyas Gopal – 20 wickets in 14 games at IPL 2019.
India Red
Captain Priyank Panchal is the first person I want to pick from India Red, someone who has been the most consistent in the domestic circuit in the last 2-3 years. The 29-year old scored 2 fifties in the 2nd Test against West Indies A recently, while he scored a massive 160 in the 1st Test vs Sri Lanka A prior to that, so there’s no reason I wouldn’t pick Mr. Consistent.
Ishan Kishan hasn’t got a single 50+ score in his last 10 games for India A in recent months, and there won’t be many fantasy teams picking him over Snell Patel. Hence, I’ll have Kishan in my team as he’s a high-value pick in this Duleep Trophy game. With the ball, pick the experienced Jaydev Unadkat who has been one of the most expensive bowlers in the last couple of seasons of the IPL.
India Blue
It was a rain-affected first game. We spoke so much only about the two new batting sensations in Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shubman Gill. The latter has already tasted success in IPL and U-19 level but Gaikwad is slowly rising and becoming a fantastic player, making it to the Chennai Super Kings recently. Gaikwad is a must-have in your team; he scored 30 in that game, while Gill scored 6.
All-rounders are always great for fantasy teams and Jalaj Saxena is one such player you should have in your MyFab11(sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team as he has been around since a while now. Earlier this year, he picked up 7 wickets in two First-Class games against England Lions and he can be pretty handy with the bat as well.
