6 teams are a part of the 2019 CWC Challenge League which has already begun in Oman. In Match 3, we have Bermuda taking on Hong Kong at the same time as Match 2 which is between Italy and Kenya. Bermuda and Hong Kong were both a part of the recent ICC T20 Qualifier that took place in UAE, both unfortunately, both didn’t manage to book a spot to Australia.
In the Qualifier, Hong Kong managed 3 wins in their 6 group stage games while Kenya only managed 2 wins. There are a few changes in both sides since that tournament last month and you can keep reading for our Howzat (sign-up with code “READ1234”) fantasy preview of the BER vs HK game…

Numbers
- Terryn Fray – only 3 double-digit scores in his last 10 games.
- Delray Rawlins – only 1 wicket in his last 6 games.
- Aizaz Khan – 4 ducks in last 7 professional games.
- Deunte Darrell in last 5 professional games – 7, 2, 4, 18, 0.
Bermuda
You could maybe blame it on bad performances but all of Janeiro Tucker, Oronde Bascome, George O’ Brien, and Allan Douglas will not be in the squad for this tournament. Terryn Fray has been appointed captain of the side while Rodney Trott has been named vice-captain. Fray can be left out because of poor form while Trott is a must-have because he’s got a wicket in each of his last 5 games!
22-year old Delray Rawlins has experience of playing for Sussex in England and he’s had a good run of form, which includes a best of 58 for Sussex in September. It’s a bonus that he bowls a substantial quota in every game. Another talented player is Kamau Leverock who has 12 wickets in his last 8 games, and a best of 43* against Scotland in October. He can be the captain of your BER vs HK fantasy team.
Hong Kong
Scott McKechnie is one known name missing out this tournament, while the likes of Simandeep Singh, Kyle Christie and Mohammad Ghazanfar should all be out of your Howzat (sign-up with code “READ1234”) fantasy teams, because they aren’t in the squad. The side will be captained by young Aizaz Khan who has been misfiring with the bat but has been among the wickets, which makes him a must-have.
Another all-rounder capable of being a match changer is Nizakat Khan, but he hasn’t been bowling much in recent games, which makes him a specialist batsman. In fact, he hasn’t even been at his best of late with only a best score of 48 in his last 10 professional games. It’s not a bad idea to pick him as a normal player and make Kinchit Shah your captain as well. He has 3 fifties in his last 10 games including a best spell of 3/33!
