The CSA T20 Challenge 2019 is underway in full swing and isn’t very popular at the moment considering that the Indian Premier League (IPL) is also on in full swing. However, fantasy cricket buffs will look for matches every hour and we have three CSA T20 matches to play in today. Today, we’ll talk about Match 9 where Titans play host to Dolphins.
Titans is the clear favourites for the game and for the entire tournament in all, as they have been the most successful South African franchise team over the years. So far, Titans and Dolphins both have 1 win in 2 games in the tournaments, with the former unfortunately losing by 4 runs (DL method) in their first game. Titans
This team is really strong and I can easily choose a 7-4 fantasy team in favour of Titans. Farhaan Behardien captains the side and scored 19* in the first game and wasn’t even given a chance to bat in the second. This is why I’m going to skip him and pack my side with at least 3 of the top 4 Titans batsmen.
One of them is Henry Davids. He scored 20 in the first game and 57 in the second and this guy has been consistent in the South African domestic circuit since a couple of years now, to add to international experience. Diego Rosier scored an important 43* in the last game and since he can be handy with the ball too, he’s in my fantasy side.
Dolphins
Morne van Wyk scored a quickfire 44(26) in the last game and I made sure I picked this guy in my team in the last game, even though he’s inching closer to 40-years of age these days. The experience and talent he brings to the fore is massive and he’s my vice-captain for today. I don’t see a lot of quality all-rounders in either side and the bowlers haven’t been taking too many wickets this tournament so far.
One important pick for my fantasy team for this game will be Robbie Frylinck. He picked up 1/37 in the last game but the reason I want him in my team is that he picked up 9 wickets in his last 3 games in the Momentum One Day Cup. Also, he can give the ball quite a whack if given the chance lower down the order.
