CSA T20 2019 Match 4 – Knights vs Warriors Fantasy Preview

After 3 exciting T20 games in the competition, we’re now set to watch Match 4 of the 2019 CSA T20 Challenge, with Knights hosting the Warriors. The two teams have had a contrasting start to their respective seasons, with Warriors winning their first game (DL method) while Knights ended up conceding a loss first up.

The Knights team looks like a strong one, especially their batting order, and they’ll be looking to continue the momentum, especially after having a poor Momentum One Day Cup recently. Playing at the Diamond Oval, Knights will be looking to play an unchanged 11. Keep reading for our complete PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234”) fantasy preview of this game…

Stats

  • Shadley van Schalkwyk has 10 wickets in his last 4 Knights games.
  • Rudi Second’s last 5 scores in the 50-over tournament – 74, 71*, 36, 49, 55.
  • Warriors beat Titans in the last game, the latter being tournament favourites.
  • Average 1st innings score here – 160 runs.

Knights

Pacers are going to be crucial on this pitch with a lot swing and pace being offered. Ryan McLaren is clearly one of the most experienced campaigners on both sides, so he becomes my fantasy team captain, especially with his all-round abilities. Shadley van Schalkwyk has found some good rhythm in recent games so don’t miss out on this player.

Andries Gous and Rudi Second are in some scintillating form, so the latter becomes my wicket-keeper pick for this game. Second went into overdrive in the latter half of the Momentum One Day Cup and even though he scored only 17 in the last game, he makes a good pick and could also be your vice-captain.

Warriors

Now Warriors would be high on confidence after beating the hottest team of the CSA T20 Challenge. I’d recommend two bowlers from this team – one would be the highly experienced Andrew Birch, while the other would be Lutho Sipamla, whose pace bowling had recently led him to getting his maiden call up to the national side.

Sinethemba Qeshile was another one who recently got a call-up but we’ll skip him as we already selected our wicket-keeper. Another player who has some international experience is Jon-Jon Smuts, who is no longer an opener, but batting at #4 and providing an option with the ball means he’s also a good option to make your captain or vice-captain for this game. Good luck and win some money!.
