Chattogram Challengers were in a real soup in the opening game of the 2019/20 Bangladesh Premier League but they managed to make a comeback and register a 5-wicket win against Sylhet to kick start their campaign. They have a couple of good international stars with the bat and it’ll be wise to select more batsmen from this team as they don’t have a star-studded bowling attack.
They now play the second game of today’s double header against Khulna Tigers, who were known as the Titans in previous editions of BPL T20. It’s Match 4 of BPL 2019 and Khulna will be playing their first game of the season, and I’d back them if I was placing a bet or two. Chattogram Challengers
25-year old Nasum Ahmed has been playing since the Bangladesh U-15 days and though he bagged only 1 wicket in the last game, he has an impressive record coming into this game and that’s why I’ll include him in my fantasy team. No one can forget Rubel Hossain’s bowling against England in the CWC 2015 and he also picked 2/27 in the last game, so he’s worth adding to your team as well.
Zimbabwe’s Ryan Burl didn’t have a great outing in the last game, bowling only 1 over for 15 runs and scoring only 3(9), but he’s a worthy all-rounder to have in your fantasy side, maybe even as captain or vice-captain. Nasir Hossain bagged a duck in the last game but he’s coming off 3 fifties and a century in 5 FC games for Rangpur Division, so he’s worth picking too. Remember, he’s a useful bowler too.
Khulna Tigers
Wicket-keeper and captain for the Tigers is Mushfiqur Rahim who is undoubtedly one of the best batsmen in the country at the moment, also doing well on Bangladesh’s recent tour to India. With experience of playing in leagues across the world, Rilee Rossouw is a good addition to everyone’s PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234”) fantasy team. His scores in the T10 league in Abu Dhabi – 26, 22, 27, 44*, 21, 0 , 55*, 31.
Though he hasn’t had great contributions in recent games, Mehidy Hasan has plenty of international experience and I’d like to pick him because he contributes with bat and ball, both. Another spinner who can be extremely useful is Wanindu Hasaranga, a leggie who has 12 wickets in 8 T20Is so far for Sri Lanka. X-factor batsman – Saif Hassan, who scored 220* vs Rangpur Division in October this year.
